Volunteer Opportunities
Following are volunteer positions currently available to DU alumni. These are opportunities for you to positively impact the Fraternity experience (and life) of one or more undergraduates while you stay involved with Delta Upsilon.

Advisory Board Positions
 

 
Province 2 Governor
The Province 2 Governor—an important member of the Delta Upsilon leadership team—is generally responsible for opening and maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the undergraduate and alumni leaders of the Province 2 chapters: Colgate, Cornell, Guelph, Hamilton, Rochester, Toronto, Western Ontario.

Appointed by the Board of Directors, a two-year commitment is most desirable.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Always striving to Build Better Men by focusing on our non-secret heritage and Four Founding Principles.
  • Helping undergraduates, alumni, and constituents connect their words and actions (and yours) to the mission of the Fraternity.
  • Working with the province’s Undergraduate Advisory Board (UGAB) Representative to establish and achieve Province Goals.
  • Coordinating with the UGAB Rep to plan and execute all aspects of a successful Regional Leadership Seminar (RLS) each February or March.
  • Attending and participating in Leadership Institute.
  • Participating in monthly Province Governor conference calls.
  • Identifying graduating seniors who may be interested in serving on the DUIHQ professional staff.
  • Identifying potential expansion opportunities within the province.

Province 3 Governor
The Province 3 Governor—an important member of the Delta Upsilon leadership team—is generally responsible for opening and maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the undergraduate and alumni leaders of the Province 3 chapters: Bucknell, Lafayette, Lehigh, Penn State, Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh Colony, Rutgers, Swarthmore.

Appointed by the Board of Directors, a two-year commitment is most desirable.

  • Always striving to Build Better Men by focusing on our non-secret heritage and Four Founding Principles.
  • Helping undergraduates, alumni, and constituents connect their words and actions (and yours) to the mission of the Fraternity.

The Arizona State Chapter is continuing to grow and strengthen its operations following its re-chartering in 2006, and is requesting the assistance of area DUs who are willing to support their efforts by serving in an advisory capacity—specifically, on an Advisory Board that meets at least quarterly.

An Advisory Board typically consists of: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Undergraduate President, Undergraduate Secretary, 3-5 At-large Members, and one-on-one mentors for the undergraduate officers.

Fresno Chapter Advisory Board
The Fresno Chapter is in a rebuilding phase, and is requesting the assistance of area DUs who are willing to support their efforts by serving in an advisory capacity—specifically, on an Advisory Board that meets at least quarterly.

An Advisory Board typically consists of: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Undergraduate President, Undergraduate Secretary, 3-5 At-large Members, and one-on-one mentors for the undergraduate officers.

 If you live in or within driving distance of Fresno, your involvement is requested.

The Pan-American Chapter is requesting the assistance of area DUs who are willing to support their efforts by serving in an advisory capacity—specifically, on an Advisory Board that meets at least quarterly.

An Advisory Board typically consists of: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Undergraduate President, Undergraduate Secretary, 3-5 At-large Members, and one-on-one mentors for the undergraduate officers.

Pittsburgh Colony Advisory Board 

The Pittsburgh Colony is requesting the assistance of those in the area who are willing to support the undergrads’ efforts by serving in an advisory capacity—specifically, on an Advisory Board that meets at least quarterly.

An Advisory Board typically consists of: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Undergraduate President, Undergraduate Secretary, 3-5 At-large Members, and one-on-one mentors for the undergraduate officers. These can be DU alumni who now live in the area, or non-DUs who live in the area.

If you live in or within driving distance of Pittsburgh, your involvement is requested.
