Scholarships

Through the generosity of our donors, the Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation provides funding to members of the Fraternity to offset the price of educational opportunities, through institutions or through the Fraternity's programming.

James D. McQuaid Scholarships
The McQuaid Scholarship Fund provides merit-based scholarships to deserving undergraduate students and fellowships to graduate students who are members of Delta Upsilon. The fund was established in July 2000 through the generosity of the Delta Upsilon International Fraternity as well as many appreciative alumni and chapters. This scholarship is a tribute to James D. McQuaid, Chicago '60, for his service and contributions to Delta Upsilon over the past six years when he served as President of the International Fraternity and as an Advisor to the Chicago Chapter. Brother McQuaid has given generously of his time, his experience and his resources to advance the mission and principles of the Fraternity. For more information, visit the Foundation's page for the James D. McQuaid Scholarships and Fellowships.

Oak Circle Scholarships
The Oak Circle Scholarships were established in 2002 upon a recommendation from the Undergraduate Advisory Board (UGAB), which was subsequently submitted to and approved by the DUEF Trustees. The UGAB recommended the issuance of scholarships that would be awarded each year to an attendee of the Leadership Institute. The number of scholarships that will be awarded increases incrementally as the endowment increases. Donations to the Oak Circle largely come from the undergraduate members in support of the DUEF. The decision of the UGAB helps ensure that money raised by undergraduates is spent on undergraduates. For more information, visit the Foundation's page for Oak Circle Scholarships.

The Leadership Institute Scholarships are provided thanks to alumni who have generously given through the A New Chapter in Leadership campaign.Alumni from various chapters have provided gifts through the DUEF to provide an endowment for their chapter to have one additional delegate each year to the Leadership Institute. There are Leadership Institute scholarships available for undergraduates to take advantage of in order to attend the Leadership Institute each summer.
