2025 Award Recipients

Congratulations to all of DU's award recipients from the 2024-2025 academic year!

July 30, 2025 - Delta Upsilon was excited to host its 2025 Leadership Institute July 25-27 in Louisville, Kentucky at the Hyatt Regency Louisville. Each year, LI serves as the Fraternity's largest event and features Fraternity business through the Undergraduate Convention and Assembly of Trustees, educational programming for undergraduates and alumni, and awards presentations.

Delta Upsilon is proud to announce the recipients of its 2025 awards. As always, the highlight of LI is the presentation of our Sweepstakes Awards. Last year, based on feedback from the membership, the Delta Upsilon International Fraternity Board of Directors updated the structure of the Sweepstakes Award. To promote more equity in the awards process, the Fraternity now presents Sweepstakes Awards to the Fraternity’s top chapters, which will make up no more than 10 percent of all Delta Upsilon chapters across North America. As with the previous model, these chapters are determined based on operational metrics found in the Fraternity’s Men of Merit Chapter Standards Program. There is longer an overall Sweepstakes Trophy recipient.

In 2025, the Fraternity also presented the Distinguished Delta Upsilon Award to Brother Jordan Lotsoff, Northern Illinois '88, in recognition of his decades of service to the Fraternity as an undergraduate, staff member, Board member and Loss Prevention Committee Chairman. In 2024, the Fraternity started its own insurance captive thanks to Jordan's leadership. The Distinguished Delta Upsilon Award is the highest individual honor DU presents, and this marks the first time it has been presented since 2018.

The 2025 Leadership Institute also marks the first time two sitting U.S. Congressmen have attended the event. Brother Morgan McGarvey, Missouri '02, and David Taylor, Miami '92, both serve in the U.S. House of Representatives and received the Fraternity's James A. Garfield Award of Merit in Public Service.

Congratulations to all of DU's 2025 award recipients!
