Learn more about the Fraternity's recent expansions
Delta Upsilon is always looking to bring the DU experience to new campuses. Through a process we call “expansion,” the Fraternity opens new chapters and re-opens chapters that have been closed.
These expansions are led by DU staff members. Leadership Consultants recruit these group's first members, conduct educational programming and officer training, set goals, and lay a foundation for success. When the group has at least 30 members and the realistic potential to be at or above the all-fraternity average membership size in two years, it is granted colony status. It then works toward reaching the requirements for chartering.
DU is committed to providing the colony with resources to be successful and operationally sound. Through our educational programming, we educate all colony members on what it means to be a member of Delta Upsilon and how to make DU a positive influence in the Greek community.
Delta Upsilon joined the Seton Hall University campus in spring 2018, marking the first time DU has had a presence on campus.
Recruitment efforts began in January 2018, and the Colonization Ceremony was held April 13, 2018.

Delta Upsilon is the world’s oldest non-secret, non-hazing fraternity. We believe that if we want our brothers to live our mission of Building Better Men and by our founding values and principles, why would we keep any of that a secret? In Delta Upsilon, you are able to tell the world exactly what your membership means, then prove it through your actions.
