Volunteer Ambassadors

Empowering alumni and undergraduate volunteers to serve as advocates for the Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation.

ALUMNI AMBASSADORS ON FOUNDERS DAY

DU’s Founders Day of Giving (FDOG) occurs on November 4 each year. This 24-hour campaign secures critical resources for the Annual Loyalty Fund and helps make possible the Fraternity’s educational programs. But, the DUEF staff can’t do it alone. Each year Alumni Ambassadors are recruited to join in on the fun and expand the alumni engagement of the DUEF on Founders Day. Alumni Ambassadors are recruited weeks in advance, and they are charged with rallying support for the Annual Loyalty Fund among their chapter alumni ranks and inner DU circles. Most Alumni Ambassadors have little fundraising experience, and the DUEF offers a full training webinar and multiple resources to ensure Alumni Ambassadors have a fun, rewarding, and successful volunteer experience.

OAK CIRCLE UNDERGRAD GIVING COUNCIL

The Oak Circle is Delta Upsilon’s undergraduate giving club aimed at educating DUs on the purpose of the Educational Foundation and the importance of giving back each year. In order to help rally support for the Oak Circle among DU’s undergraduate ranks, an annual Oak Circle Giving Council is recruited each winter. The Giving Council consists of DU chapter presidents who are eager to encourage other undergraduates to join them in giving back to the DUEF with a gift of $18.34 to the Oak Circle Fund.

Giving Council members play a critical role influencing the strategy for the Oak Circle each year. Their efforts include helping decide the Oak Circle membership apparel item, unveiling the Oak Circle details at the Presidents Academy and Regional Leadership Academies, and rallying Oak Circle support among undergraduates at the chapter level.
