2026 Founders Day Message

2026 Founders Day Message
from International Fraternity President Dr. Aaron Clevenger, Central Florida '97

Hello brothers and Happy Founders Day. I'm Aaron  Clevenger, Central Florida '97, President of  Delta Upsilon International Fraternity. Today, we celebrate 192 years of DU brotherhood. 192 years of young men walking into a chapter and walking out better than when they arrived. I hope you will take a moment today to reflect on  your own DU experience. As a longtime member,  former staff member and lifelong volunteer, I can tell you that our Principles of Friendship,  Character, Culture and Justice matter just as much today as it did the day they were written, maybe even more.

The world needs thoughtful, dedicated leaders, and Delta Upsilon answers that call through our mission of Building Better Men. As we celebrate Founders Day, I encourage you to reach out to a brother. Call, text, whatever works best for you. Check in and say hello. There’s no better day than today to honor our bonds of friendship.

And this year we’re making a game of it! This is my FoundersDay bingo card. Every square is a way to celebrate DU, from calling a brother, to making a gift, and I’ve already checked off a few. You can download your own card at deltau.org/give, or find it on social media. It’s also on the back of the  latest DU Quarterly. We have a variety of prizes for those who complete the bingo card today.

One of the bingo squares invites you to join our 11th annual Founders Day of Giving. I hope you’ll take part. Our goal this year is 550 donors, and every single gift counts, no matter the size.  Your gift today to the Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation will be used right away, providing the  scholarships, officer resources, educational programs and webinars our members seek and need. However you choose to honor Delta Upsilon today, we know that the Fraternity remains an integral part of our brothers’ lives.

Thank you and Happy Founders Day. Dikaia Upotheke!
