Associate Chapter Ceremony Held for Kent State

Nov. 17, 2025 - Delta Upsilon has officially returned to Kent State University! On Nov. 15, 2025, DU held the Associate Chapter Ceremony and Pledging Ceremony for the group. The Kent State Chapter first opened in December 1948 as the Fraternity's 68th chapter. It went inactive in 1971, reopened in 1990, and closed again in 2023. 

Expansion efforts for Kent State began in fall 2025 with in-person recruitment led by Fraternity staff. At the time of the Associate Chapter Ceremony, 15 men had joined the group pledged into the Fraternity. The ceremonies were held on the second floor of the Kent Student Center Dining Room. A reception was held afterward for the associate members and guests.

The Kent State Associate Chapter will continue to recruit new members and set up chapter operations as it works toward the requirements for re-chartering. If you know unaffiliated students at Kent State who you would like to recommend for membership, complete the Member Interest/Referral Form.
