Associate Chapter Ceremony held for Michigan State

April 20, 2026 - Delta Upsilon is proud to announce its return to Michigan State University. The Associate Chapter Ceremony was held for the group on Saturday, April 18, 2026, with 26 associate members at The Graduate hotel in East Lansing, MI.

In late spring 2025, a group of students at Michigan State University approached Delta Upsilon about affiliating with the Fraternity. Throughout the summer and fall, DU staff worked closely with these young men to keep them engaged as the campus Interfraternity Council worked through its process to bring another fraternity onto campus.

It was in December 2025, that the Fraternity notified Michigan State Chapter alumni about a fall 2026 return for the chapter pending a vote from the campus Interfraternity Council. When that vote took place in March 2026, the IFC not only approved DU's return, but sped up the chapter's return timeline, allowing the Associate Chapter Ceremony to be held in April 2026.

During the Ritual, Kevin Walter, Michigan State ’98, and Jeff Blank, Michigan State ’01, served as Chief Marshal and Master, respectively. 

Delta Upsilon Leadership Consultants will be on campus throughout the fall 2026 term to continue to recruit new members and set up chapter operations as the Michigan State Associate Chapter works toward the requirements for chartering.
