Associate Chapter Ceremony held for Fullerton & Michigan State

Delta Upsilon held the Associate Chapter Ceremony for both the Fullerton and Michigan State Associate Chapters in spring 2026 as the groups continue to work their way toward chartering.

Delta Upsilon’s associate chapter at California State University, Fullerton marks the first time the Fraternity has been a part of that campus community. DU joins four other fraternities as part of the campus IFC. The Multicultural Greek Council has eight groups, the National Pan-Hellenic Council has two groups, and the Panhellenic Council has six sororities.

Expansion recruitment at CSUF began in spring 2026 with DU Leadership Consultant Axel Hoge, Arlington ’25, leading the efforts. The Associate Chapter Ceremony was held on April 11, 2026, with 15 associate members.

Delta Upsilon’s Michigan State Chapter at Michigan State University first chartered as the Fraternity’s 70th chapter on Jan. 15, 1949. It was last active in 2006. While Fraternity staff have long kept an eye on the viability to reopen the chapter, in late spring 2025, a group of students at MSU approached DU about affiliating with the Fraternity. Throughout that summer and fall, staff worked closely with the young men as the campus Interfraternity Council worked through its process to bring another fraternity onto campus.

DU was officially approved to return to campus in spring 2026, and the Associate Chapter Ceremony was held on April 18 with 26 associate members. Throughout the fall 2026 term, the associate chapter will receive enhanced chapter support from the Fraternity as it works to set up operations, continue recruitment and engage chapter alumni.
