The Delta Upsilon Quarterly team sat down with new International Fraternity President Aaron Clevenger, Central Florida '97, to discuss his vision for DU's future.

What does it mean for you to become Delta Upsilon's International Fraternity President?

I am honored by the confidence the Fraternity has placed in me as the next President. Delta Upsilon has been a defining part of my life for more than 30 years. It has given me lifelong friendships, opportunities to lead and serve, and countless opportunities for personal and professional growth. Along the way, I have been fortunate to learn from mentors whose guidance, encouragement, and example have had a lasting impact on my life. Serving as International President is an opportunity to give back to an organization that has meant so much to me.

What vision do you have for the future of Delta Upsilon?

As we look ahead, I believe our responsibility is to preserve the values and principles that have defined Delta Upsilon for nearly 200 years while ensuring they remain relevant to today's students and alumni members. Our goal cannot be to simply maintain our traditions, but to strengthen the undergraduate and alumni experience and clearly demonstrate the lifelong value of Delta Upsilon membership.

How do you think the Fraternity can achieve that vision?

The future of Delta Upsilon depends on our ability to think strategically while remaining true to who we are. I look forward to working with the Fraternity Board of Directors, the Foundation Board of Trustees, our talented staff, volunteers, alumni, and undergraduate members to strengthen Delta Upsilon as a resilient, well-governed fraternity focused on developing men of merit.

Our work does not end there. We must continue to expand our number of undergraduate chapters, increase the number of initiated members in each chapter, and retain undergraduate members throughout their undergraduate experience. We must also invest in innovative programs; meaningful membership education; and services that prepare our members to lead, serve and contribute throughout their lives.

If we remain committed to these priorities while staying true to our Founding Principles, we will position Delta Upsilon to thrive throughout its third century and ensure our brotherhood continues to enrich the lives of members for generations to come.
