Fall 2025 Delta Upsilon Quarterly

What's Next for DU?

The Ignite The Charge Campaign has catapulted the Fraternity forward with cutting-edge programing and new resources meeting the needs of today’s undergraduate men. Although the Campaign has only enhanced how the Fraternity is Building Better Men across North America, Delta Upsilon is already facing new challenges that require attention, resources and leadership. Declining male college enrollment, a shrinking alumni donor base, chapter facility upgrade needs, and alumni engagement challenges are just a few of the headwinds facing the Fraternity.

Given these challenges (and the need to sustain the increased programing funded by the Campaign), the Fraternity's Board of Directors has been reviewing DU's four strategic priorities shown below. Any outcomes from these strategic discussions will be shared with all DU brothers, parents and friends, this academic year.

Delta Upsilon Strategic Plan
2023-2028

Provide Impactful Experiences for Undergraduates
Invigorate Alumni Engagement with the Fraternity
Innovate Fraternity Operations & Delivery Mechanisms
Grow the Undergraduate Membership

Alumni Survey Input to Drive DU Priorities

Given that one of the Fraternity’s strategic priorities is to Invigorate Alumni Engagement with the Fraternity, this past spring, Delta Upsilon joined 50 other international fraternities/sororities to participate in the 2025 Alumni Engagement Survey. More than 70,000 fraternity/sorority alumni (including 882 DU alumni) participated in the survey, which gathered thoughts and opinions on a wide range of topics pertaining to alumni engagement.

The 2025 survey was conducted anonymously by Cygnus Applied Research on behalf of the Foundation for Fraternal Excellence (FFE). Delta Upsilon has been a longtime member of FFE, and this is the third time DU alumni have participated in the Alumni Engagement Survey. Although Delta Upsilon’s official survey results won’t be received from Cygnus until later this fall, the DUIF Board of Directors eagerly awaits the survey recommendations, which will be a major topic at its November Board meeting. DU alumni input through this survey will be critical as the Board of Directors works to update the priorities and goals of the strategic plan, while also partnering with the DU Educational Foundation on any future funding needed to advance our Building Better Men mission.
