Quinnipiac Chapter Installed

April 23, 2018 - Delta Upsilon International Fraternity is excited to welcome the Quinnipiac Chapter as the 160th chapter of the Fraternity. The Installation Ceremony for the group was held Sunday, April 22, at the Echlin Center on campus. 

The event played host to DU alumni, family, friends and university officials as it celebrated Installation and Initiation. Delta Upsilon Executive Director Justin Kirk, Boise State '00, served as Master; former advisor Todd Sullivan, Santa Barbara '95, as Examiner; advisor Gregory Fabiano, Florida '15, as Chief Marshal; and Leadership Consultant Tyler Vasquez-Dorn, Rochester '17, as Chaplain. The Charge address was given by William Messick, Lafayette '67, former International Fraternity Chairman.  

Delta Upsilon began expansion efforts at Quinnipiac, a private university located in Hamden, Connecticut, in January 2013. The colony found quick success, but experienced recruitment hardships after the initial Founding Father class graduated. Thanks to the hard work of a small, yet dedicated group of men, the colony regained its footing and reached the benchmarks for chartering. 

The Quinnipiac Chapter is first new chapter to join Delta Upsilon's ranks since 2015. Several "Old Gold" chapters have reinstalled during that time, however, including three so far this academic year. Two additional former chapters are set to reinstall this spring.
