Trey McDonald , Miami '25
Leadership Consultant

Trey joined the Delta Upsilon staff in June 2025 as a Leadership Consultant. In this role, he will help manage the Fraternity's expansion efforts by recruiting and setting up new chapters. He will also travel North America to support existing DU chapters in their recruitment efforts.
Trey is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he graduated with a degrees in Political Science and Middle Eastern & Islamic Studies. As a high school student in Mineola, New York, Trey co-founded the Chaminade High School Alumni Political Association, which puts current and former students in contact with leaders/elected officials in state, local and federal government. He also volunteered with Tunnel to Towers and Tuesday's Children 9/11 charities. While at Miami, he assisted the DU Miami Chapter with brother wellness/mental health support and was involved in the chapter's alumni mentor program.
Trey has received numerous recognition over the years including: Distinguished Alumni Service Award (Chaminade, 2024); Character Excellence Award (Chaminade, 2021); Undergraduate Campus Involvement Award (Human Rights Campaign, 2022); Featured Political Science Thesis (Miami University, 2024); Excellence in Writing in Energy Economics Policy Award (American Political Science Association, 2025); Outstanding Presentation in Defense Policy and Contracting Award (American Political Science Association, 2024).

Trey loves Mets baseball, fly-fishing, classic cars and bourbon distilleries. He studied Arabic and Chinese in college!
